What sets us apart from other KAP Training Programs?
Jennifer Montjoy brings an integrative, holistic approach to her private practice and trainings. Jennifer holds a Ph.D. from the University of Arizona. Her doctoral substantive is biobehavioral neuroscience and her dissertation study, Ketamine-assisted Psychotherapy (KAP): Clinical Outcomes and Self-transcendence in depression and PTSD is an important contribution to the field of psychotherapeutic psychedelic research.
Ceremony and ritual are important aspects of Jennifer’s personal and KAP practice; she participated in Web of Life’s 1-year Animist ministry ordainment program and was ordained in September 2021. Animism is a non-religious, earth-honoring spiritual practice emphasizing the sacred connection between human and non-human peoples.
Psychedelic therapies undoubtedly require vulnerability and intimacy as we share our inner experiences with others. TRIPP cohorts are limited to small groups so that each participant has the opportunity to feel safe, seen, and heard.
TRAINING LOCATIONS:
Tucson (in-person)
COVID-19 RESTRICTIONS:
Due to COVID-19, space is limited to between 6 to 8 participants for these trainings. Vaccination proof is not required; however, we ask upcoming participants to contact us if you have had a known recent exposure and or are symptomatic prior to attending the training.
COST:
$2800 for prescribing clinicians (NP, PA, MD, DO, ND); $2300 for non-prescribing clinicians (e.g. psychotherapists, RN). Training fees include learning materials, a virtual, individual pre-training medical intake appointment, 2 supervised KAP sessions per training participant, and lunch daily on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, a post-training cohort integration check-in online.
SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITY:
We reserve one spot in every training cohort for a scholarship recipient to attend the training at no cost based on financial need. It’s important to us that we do our part to help diversify the field of psychedelic therapy. As such, individuals who identify as Latinx, BIPOC, and/or LGBTQIA+ are encouraged to apply for this scholarship. You can find the application by clicking the button below. Scholarships are offered exclusively to folks who identify as BIPOC and/or LGBTQIA+ *based on financial need.
OPEN APPLICATIONS:
All applications are currently closed
Q: Will we receive a certificate?
Currently, there are no national guidelines for KAP certification at this time. There is no KAP governing body that dictates whether someone is certified or not. Offering KAP is based on the clinician’s scope of practice in the state(s) where you are licensed and each clinician’s confidence and competence.
At the end of our training, you will receive a certificate for completing specialized ketamine/KAP training. However, if you are a non-prescribing mental healthcare clinician, you will need to partner with a prescriber to offer KAP.
